Meet a Toronto GRE Tutor: Maya B.
Maya has spent almost her entire life in Toronto, and concluded her academic career by graduating from the University of Toronto's Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, but she is not afraid to continue expanding her academic horizons. As both a GRE tutor and a mother, Maya believes firmly in the power of tutoring and teaching one individual. She firmly believes in explaining a problem from every angle until it is fully comprehended by the student in question, and her most anticipated moment as an instructor is the "A-ha!" moment that comes when something has been taught properly and breaks through to the student.
As a Toronto loyalist, Maya firmly believes in taking advantage of all the city has to offer for its academics, and likes to suggest study spaces to her students that she used in her own time, both as a student at business school and prior to that when she was taking the GRE for herself. She also firmly believes in the power of running to allow one's brain to rest and subconsciously mull over anything it does not understand at that moment, and enjoys jogging in Toronto's various parks, especially in the area surrounding Lake Ontario during the summers.
